Inspector Maronski joined the Department in 1995 after spending two years in the NYPD. He has had various patrol, community policing, investigative and supervisory assignments within the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th Precincts, Office of the Chief of Patrol, Warrant Enforcement Section, Precinct Crime Section, Special Patrol Bureau and Office of the Police Commissioner. His last assignment was as commanding officer of the Homeland Security and Criminal Intelligence Bureau overseeing the Homeland Security, Criminal Intelligence and Emergency Management Sections as well as the Asset Forfeiture Unit. He is a graduate of Morrisville College (SUNY) and John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY). He is also a graduate of the 252th Session of the FBI National Academy.
He was appointed Commanding Officer of the Third Precinct in February of 2022.
