The Suffolk County Police Department Aviation Section provides aviation services with its four helicopters to SCPD commands, associated law enforcement agencies, government agencies, the emergency medical service community and the residents and visitors of Suffolk County.

These services include law enforcement support, search and rescue, aerial photography and surveillance.

The current fleet has enabled both aviation bases in Ronkonkoma and Westhampton to have 100% operational readiness capability.
