The First Precinct proudly covers the Town of Babylon. The officers of the First Precinct are assigned to a wide variety of tasks including community policing, motor patrol, gang enforcement, school resource officers, and quality of life enhancement. Our COPE and CSU officers work on quality of life issues ranging from traffic problems to drug complaints. Their number is 854-8195. Information is available via the precinct twitter page. Here you will find information on road closures, crime trends and precinct events.

The precinct commanding officer hosts a precinct wide community meeting on the first Thursday of each month. The meeting is at the West Babylon Library and starts at 7:00. At the meeting, you will be provided with crime stats for each community served by the precinct. Community members are also invited to express their concerns at the meeting. Numerous officers attend and it is an excellent way to meet officers who patrol your neighborhood. Our officers also attend more than fifteen civic group meetings each month. The First Precinct takes the mission of enhancing the quality of life of those it serves very seriously and endeavors to work together with the community to accomplish its mission.
