Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at approximately 3 p.m.

Suffolk County Police today arrested a Medford man for possessing child pornography on electronic devices.

Following a tip from the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Suffolk County Police Digital Forensics Unit detectives investigated Benjamin Lewis and executed a search warrant at his home, located at 88 West Lane, on July 31.

During the investigation, detectives recovered pornographic images of children on electronic devices found in the home. Lewis was arrested at the Sixth Precinct at approximately 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lewis, 38, was charged with Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a felony. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
