Man Arrested for Stabbing Friend Multiple Times

Suffolk County Police today arrested a North Amityville man for stabbing a friend multiple times.

Joshua Deluna and a friend, a 43-year-old Copiague man, were engaged in an altercation in front of 104 Madison Ave. at approximately 6:25 a.m. when Deluna stabbed the man multiple times. The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of his injuries.

Deluna, 32, of 104 Madison Ave., was charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on September 15.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
