Suffolk County Police have arrested a woman for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian early this morning in Selden.

A passing motorist observed a body and vehicle debris in the roadway on College Road, north of Mooney Pond Road, and called 911 at 1:23 a.m. When Sixth Precinct officers arrived at the scene, they found Randolph King unconscious in the roadway. King, 36, of Selden, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

Police arrested Yeymi Sanchez-Guzman and located a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee with damage to the front end and windshield. Major Case Unit detectives charged Sanchez-Guzman, 31, of Selden, with Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Accident. She is being held at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on September 7.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6553.
