Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Motor Vehicle Crash

Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in Commack tonight.

Adam Harris was operating a Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Veterans Memorial Highway when he crashed into a 2017 Subaru, traveling westbound, that was turning into a parking lot in front of 50 Veterans Memorial Highway at approximately 7:20 p.m.

Harris, 25, of Central Islip, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore in critical condition. The driver of the Subaru, Amber Vancott, 19, of Commack was not injured. Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.

Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452.
