Suffolk County Police this morning arrested a man for stabbing and seriously injuring another man in Babylon last night.
Two men had a verbal altercation inside a house located on Park Avenue near Siegel Avenue, at approximately 11:57 p.m. During the altercation, one of the men, Robert Bozowski, pulled a knife and stabbed the other in the neck before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
The stabbing victim was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
Bozowski, 35, of Yonkers, was located in his vehicle. He was pulled over on westbound Southern State Parkway, west of Belmont Avenue, and arrested at 12:29 a.m. this morning. He was charged with Assault First Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree.
He is being held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on August 30.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
