Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash with Motor Vehicle

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in East Northport last night.

A 60-year-old man was operating a 2024 Trailmaster motorcycle northbound on Larkfield Road when he crashed into the passenger side of a 2024 Cadillac SUV as it was making a left turn from the southbound lane onto Shelbourne Lane at approximately 10:35 p.m.

The motorcyclist, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore in serious condition. There were no other injuries. The motorcycle and the Cadillac were impounded for safety checks.
